Getting To Dulwich Hill From Balgowlah

The drive is 21.9 km and takes about 41 minutes in light traffic. From Sydney Road, follow Manly Road and Spit Road to Military Road and Falcon Street. After the Warringah Freeway and Bradfield Highway, take the Western Distributor, then The Crescent, Johnston Street, Parramatta Road and Cannon Street before turning on to Marrickville Road.

Plenty of buses run through Balgowlah, but none reach Dulwich Hill and there’s no train nearby, so public transport needs a change. Driving is the simplest option. Street parking is on Marrickville Road and in MacArthur Parade beside the clinic, with some timed bays.

Balgowlah Check-Ups On A Saturday

Balgowlah’s name is said to come from an Aboriginal word for North Harbour, and from that side of the water a weekday trip can feel like a lot. A Saturday visit, between 9am and 3pm, is often the easier way to keep up regular care.

Evenings work too. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday run until 8pm. Each visit includes an exam, a clean and digital X-rays when due. Have a read about what happens at a check-up and our cleaning appointments.

Bringing Balgowlah Kids Across

For families, the drive is easier to plan when it covers everyone. Book children back to back on a Saturday, add a parent’s check-up, and the whole household is seen in one trip across the bridge.

Kids who play at Manly West Park or Weerona Park, or train for contact sport, should wear a fitted guard. We take impressions and make one to suit. Learn about children’s dental visits and custom mouthguards for sport.

Cosmetic And Implant Work For Balgowlah Patients

Long treatment is where one clinic really helps. Dental implants near Balgowlah, from a single tooth to All-on-4, are planned and placed here. Damaged teeth can be fixed with a crown made on site, which often means one appointment instead of two.

If you’d like to change how your smile looks, ask about teeth whitening, bonding or veneers in composite, E-max or Zirkonzahn. An exam comes first, then we set out the options and costs. Payment plans and health fund claims can be discussed.
