504 Marrickville RdGrand Avenue takes you out to James Ruse Drive, and from there it’s onto the Western Motorway and through the M4 East Tunnel. After Parramatta Road, turn through Tebbutt Street, Hathern Street, Brown Street and Cook Street, then Old Canterbury Road, Toothill Street and New Canterbury Road bring you to Marrickville Road.
It’s 18.7 km and about 31 minutes outside peak. The Rosehill Gardens and Yallamundi light rail stops are 1.0 km and 1.2 km away, but neither is on the L1, so public transport needs a change. Park on Marrickville Road or MacArthur Parade beside the clinic; some bays are timed.
Open until 8pmCamellia is mostly industrial, with no residential population yet, so the people looking for a dentist here are usually here for work. Our evening sessions until 8pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays let you finish a shift, drive over and still be seen.
A standard visit includes an exam, digital X-rays when due, and a scale and clean. If it’s been a while, start with our dental check-ups and teeth cleaning appointments, and we’ll work out the next steps together.
Saturday family visitsIf your family lives closer to the inner west than Camellia does, a Saturday between 9am and 3pm is a good time to book everyone in together. We’ll try to line children’s appointments up with yours.
Visits for kids cover check-ups, fluoride, fissure sealants and fillings, with lots of explaining for nervous first-timers. For weekend footy, netball or hockey, ask about a fitted guard. More on children’s dental care and sports mouthguards.
Same-visit crownsTime off work is limited, so fewer appointments matter. Our dental crowns are made in-house and often fitted the same visit. When a tooth needs replacing, we plan and place dental implants near Camellia, including All-on-4, after a full exam.
For cosmetic work there’s teeth whitening, bonding, and composite, E-max or Zirkonzahn veneers. We’ll explain your options and costs in plain language, and payment plans or health fund claims can be discussed at the clinic.

Dr Dimitrios Thanos has more than 25 years in practice and leads the clinic in Dulwich Hill. Meet the team, or read about The Smile Spot and how we work before you book your first appointment from Camellia.

Yes. Single implants and All-on-4 are planned and placed at our Dulwich Hill clinic, starting with a consultation and exam. Implant placement is surgery and carries risks such as pain, swelling and infection, and it is not suitable for everyone. Results vary from person to person. We talk you through the alternatives at your consultation, and you are welcome to get a second opinion.
