504 Marrickville RdLeave the beach behind on Clovelly Road and Arden Street, then pick up Alison Road and Carrington Road. A few local streets, including Howard, Canberra and Oberon, lead to Avoca Street and Rainbow Street, which brings you out on Gardeners Road heading west. From there it’s on to Marrickville Road: 13.6 km and about 30 minutes outside peak.
Clovelly has no train station, and its buses don’t run to Dulwich Hill, so public transport involves a change. The drive is usually simpler. Park on Marrickville Road or in MacArthur Parade beside the clinic, and check the signs because some bays are timed.
Open until 8pmSummer weekends in a beach suburb disappear fast, so plenty of people would rather book an evening appointment instead. We’re open until 8pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Friday and Saturday hours run from 9am to 3pm.

Saturday family visitsBetween Burnie Park, Bundock Park and the beach, Clovelly children are rarely indoors on a weekend. A Saturday morning booking gets the dentist done early, and brothers and sisters can be seen one after the other.
First visits, fluoride, check-ups and fissure sealants are all part of kids’ dental care at our clinic. For footy, touch or soccer, a mouthguard made to fit your child is moulded from impressions of their teeth.
Same-visit crownsCoffee, wine and the years all leave marks on enamel. We can talk about whitening, bonding for small chips and composite, E-max or Zirkonzahn veneers for bigger changes. Each plan starts with an exam, and costs are explained upfront.

Yes. Single implants and All-on-4 are planned and placed at our Dulwich Hill clinic, and Dr Thanos explains costs after an exam. Implant placement is surgery and carries risks such as pain, swelling and infection, and it is not suitable for everyone. Results vary from person to person. We talk you through the alternatives at your consultation, and you are welcome to get a second opinion.
