504 Marrickville RdHead out along Tennyson Road, Morrison Road and Meriton Street to Victoria Road. Turn off onto Darling Street and Balmain Road, then Perry Street, Mary Street and James Street bring you to Darley Road. Foster Street and Tebbutt Street complete the run towards Marrickville Road. It’s 13.6 km, about 29 minutes outside peak.
That’s a longer trip, and we won’t pretend otherwise. There’s no train station in Tennyson Point and no direct bus to us, so public transport needs at least one change. Driving makes the most sense, with street parking on Marrickville Road and in MacArthur Parade beside the clinic. Some bays are timed.
Open until 8pmWith nearly half an hour each way, good timing helps. Book an evening slot on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, when we’re open until 8pm, or come on a Saturday between 9am and 3pm. It’s worth locking in the next appointment while you’re here, so there’s one less thing to remember.
Your check-up includes an exam and digital X-rays when due, and most visits finish with a scale and polish. If you’ve noticed sensitivity, bleeding gums or a rough edge on a tooth, mention it and Dr Thanos will take a look.
Saturday family visitsWeekends around Tennyson Point might include Morrison Bay Park or Tennyson Park. When the family has to drive across, Saturday is the easiest day to bring everyone at once, with children seen back to back and no school missed.
Our children’s dentistry begins with friendly first visits, moving on to fluoride and fissure sealants as needed. Kids in contact sport should have a sports mouthguard made from an impression of their teeth, so it fits their mouth rather than a generic shape.
