Check-Ups And Cleans For Botany Residents

Airport traffic on General Holmes Drive and Qantas Drive can make a midday dash risky. Later bookings help: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday appointments run until 8pm. Friday and Saturday sessions go from 9am to 3pm.

At each visit we look at teeth, gums and existing fillings, with digital X-rays when they’re due. Read about our check-up appointments and what to expect from a teeth cleaning so there are no surprises.

Taking Botany Kids To The Dentist

Saturdays around Botany often mean a game at Booralee Park or a run around Sir Joseph Banks Park. Fitting a check-up in on the same morning keeps school days free, and we can usually see more than one child in a row.

We look after children from first visits through to cleans, fluoride and sealants. Our children’s dental care page has more detail, and players in contact sports can be fitted for a custom mouthguard shaped to their own teeth.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the drive from Botany take?

About 20 minutes outside peak. The 9.1 km route runs past the airport on General Holmes Drive and Qantas Drive, then north via O’Riordan Street.

Can I catch public transport from Botany?

There’s no direct service, so you would need to change at least once. Domestic Airport is the nearest station, but most Botany patients drive.

Where should I park?

There’s street parking along Marrickville Road and in MacArthur Parade, which runs beside the clinic. Some bays have time limits, so check before you go.

Is The Smile Spot open on Saturdays for Botany patients?

Yes, from 9am to 3pm. We’re also open until 8pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Is there an emergency dentist near Botany?

Phone (02) 9569 0199 at opening time and let us know what’s happening. We’ll book the earliest appointment available for you.

Can new patients from Botany book in?

Yes. Book online or call the clinic. If you’re anxious about dental work, say so and we’ll go through sedation options with you.

Do you look after children from Botany?

Yes. We see kids for first visits, cleans, fluoride, sealants and sports mouthguards, with Saturday appointments that suit school weeks.

Can Botany patients get dental implants with you?

Yes. Dr Thanos plans and places single implants and All-on-4 at our Dulwich Hill clinic and explains costs after your consultation. Implant placement is surgery and carries risks such as pain, swelling and infection, and it is not suitable for everyone. Results vary from person to person. We talk you through the alternatives at your consultation, and you are welcome to get a second opinion.
