Driving From East Killara To The Clinic

East Killara backs onto Garigal National Park, with the Eastern Arterial Road and Birdwood Avenue along its western edge, so that’s where you start. From Koola Avenue, take Birdwood Avenue and the Eastern Arterial Road, then Archbold Road, Boundary Street, Penshurst Street, Mowbray Road and Willoughby Road to the Warringah Freeway. Cross on the Bradfield Highway, then it’s on to Marrickville Road.

The trip is 24.6 km, about 45 minutes outside peak. That’s a long trip, and we’d rather say so up front. Gordon station is 2 km from the centre, but no direct bus or light rail reaches us, so public transport needs a change. Park on Marrickville Road or MacArthur Parade beside the clinic, and check for timed bays.

Making Check-Ups Easy From East Killara

Because the drive takes time, it pays to do more in each visit. Book your exam and clean together, and come on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday evening when we’re open until 8pm, or on a Saturday between 9am and 3pm.

Dr Thanos checks your teeth, gums and existing work, and takes digital X-rays when they’re due. If anything needs attention, you’ll get a clear explanation and a plan before any work starts. Here’s more about our dental check-ups and professional cleaning.

Children’s Dentistry For East Killara Families

Between school, sport and weekends at Killara Park or East Gordon Park nearby, weekdays rarely have room for the dentist. A Saturday slot lets parents and kids be seen together, which turns two or three trips into one.

First visits are kept gentle and brief, so younger children can get used to the chair. We add sealants and fluoride as teeth come through, and fit mouthguards moulded to each child’s teeth for rugby, footy or hockey. Read about dentistry for children and custom sports mouthguards.
