The Honest Distance

Is Dulwich Hill Too Far From Kangaroo Point?

It’s a fair question. Kangaroo Point is a tiny Sutherland Shire suburb, and the trip is 17.1 km, about 34 minutes outside peak. Leave by Kangaroo Point Road, Tara Street and Corea Street for the Princes Highway, then Gannon Street, Unwins Bridge Road and Richardsons Crescent. Carrington Road, Warren Road, Illawarra Road and Petersham Road finish on Marrickville Road.

The local 967 bus doesn’t come our way, so public transport would mean several changes. Driving is the realistic option. Once here, park on Marrickville Road or in MacArthur Parade beside the clinic, and check for time limits.

Making Each Kangaroo Point Visit Count

When the drive is this long, it’s worth getting more done per trip. Pair your exam and clean, ask whether small fillings can be done in the same sitting, and pick an 8pm finish or a Saturday to stay clear of peak hour.

Here’s what a six-monthly check-up involves, and why a regular dental clean helps catch gum problems early, before they need bigger treatment.

Families Together

One Saturday For The Whole Kangaroo Point Family

Saturday mornings work well for families who don’t want three separate drives. Book parents and children back to back, then you’re home in time to wander down to the Esplanade Foreshore Reserve or Ward Crescent Reserve.

Our children’s dental visits cover first check-ups, fluoride and fissure sealants. Kids who play contact sport can be fitted for a custom mouthguard during the same appointment.

Dental Implants Near Kangaroo Point, Start To Finish

Implants are one treatment where a longer drive can pay off. Consultation, surgery and the final tooth for dental implants near Kangaroo Point all happen in Dulwich Hill, including All-on-4, so you aren’t shuttled between clinics.

Because crowns are made in-house, many can be fitted the same day. Cosmetic choices include teeth whitening, bonding and composite or E-max veneers. Everything is costed after an exam, and payment plans can be discussed.

Can I take the bus from Kangaroo Point?

The 967 serves the area but doesn’t come to Dulwich Hill. Public transport needs a few changes, so most people find the car far easier.

Is there parking when I get there?

Yes. Use the street parking on Marrickville Road or in MacArthur Parade beside the clinic. Some bays are timed, so check before you leave the car.

Can Kangaroo Point patients book late or on Saturdays?

Yes. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday appointments run until 8pm, and Friday and Saturday from 9am to 3pm. We’re closed Wednesdays and Sundays.

Should I call you for a dental emergency in Kangaroo Point?

If the drive suits you, ring (02) 9569 0199 as we open and tell us it’s urgent. We’ll book the earliest appointment available.

Are you accepting new patients from Kangaroo Point?

Yes. Call (02) 9569 0199 or book online, and mention if you’d like several family members seen on the same day.

Do you see children from the Shire?

Yes. Kids are welcome from their first teeth, and Saturday family bookings let one trip from Kangaroo Point cover everyone.

Can I get implants without several trips from Kangaroo Point?

Implants need a few appointments, but every stage, including All-on-4, happens at one Dulwich Hill clinic. That keeps the number of drives down.
