The Drive From Melrose Park, Explained

It’s 19.7 km, but mostly motorway, so allow about 30 minutes outside peak. Wharf Road takes you to Victoria Road and Silverwater Road, which crosses to the Western Motorway and the M4 East Tunnel. Leave at Parramatta Road, then Tebbutt Street, Hathern Street, Brown Street and Cook Street run to Old Canterbury Road and Toothill Street before the final stretch to Marrickville Road.

Meadowbank station is 1.6 km from the middle of Melrose Park and West Ryde 1.8 km, but neither links up with the clinic, and the local 524 bus doesn’t come our way. Plan on driving. Park on Marrickville Road or in MacArthur Parade, where some bays are timed.

Check-Ups That Suit Melrose Park Routines

A Thursday finish at 8pm or a Saturday from 9am gives you options beyond the workday. Appointments on Monday and Tuesday also run late, and Friday opens at 9am for anyone who’d like a morning slot.

Most visits include an exam, digital X-rays when due and a thorough clean. Read about dental exams and check-ups, and see how teeth cleaning appointments help protect gums between visits.

Melrose Park Families, One Trip For Everyone

Rather than several drives, line up the whole family on one Saturday morning. Home again by early afternoon, there’s time for Jennifer Park, Sindel Reserve or the dog off-leash area at George Kendall Park.

Children are seen from their first appointment, with fluoride and sealants when they help. Our children’s dentistry page explains more, and kids in contact sport can be fitted for a made-to-measure mouthguard.

Why Melrose Park Patients Might Choose Us

With Melrose Central only 0.4 km from the suburb centre, a local dentist may be handier for quick visits. The drive pays off when you want late hours, sedation or a full implant plan with Dr Dimitrios Thanos, who has over 25 years in practice. Read about our clinic or meet the people you’ll see.
