504 Marrickville RdFrom the old docklands at the head of the bay, climb Bourke Street and Cathedral Street, then Riley Street up to William Street. College Street and Wentworth Avenue lead to Elizabeth Street, before Hay Street, Pitt Street and George Street bring you to Broadway and on towards Marrickville Road. It’s 9.6 km, about 23 minutes outside peak.
Capitol Square light rail stop, roughly a kilometre and a half from Woolloomooloo, is on the L1 line that runs to Dulwich Grove, a few minutes’ walk from us. Drivers can park on Marrickville Road or MacArthur Parade, where some bays are timed.
Open until 8pmCity traffic between William Street and Broadway is slower in peak hour, so an evening booking is often the easier option. The clinic stays open until 8pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. On Fridays and Saturdays the doors open at 9am.
A check-up includes a look at teeth and gums, digital X-rays when needed and time to ask questions. Read about regular dental check-ups, or see what’s involved in a teeth cleaning visit.
Saturday family visitsWoolloomooloo kids have Bourke Street Park and Cook and Phillip Park close by for weekend play, and a Saturday dental visit fits around that. Our Saturday hours, 9am to 3pm, also save taking children out of school.
Early visits help children get used to the chair, then cleans, fluoride and sealants follow as their teeth develop. See our page on dentistry for children. Teens in contact sport can be fitted for a custom-made sports mouthguard.
Same-visit crownsSome patients come in about discolouration, others about a chipped or uneven tooth. After an exam we can explain teeth whitening, bonding and veneers made from composite, E-max or Zirkonzahn, along with what each would cost.
Broken teeth can be rebuilt with crowns made at the clinic, which often means one appointment rather than two. For gaps from missing teeth, read about dental implants near Woolloomooloo and All-on-4, planned and placed in Dulwich Hill.

Dr Dimitrios Thanos has more than 25 years in practice, and the whole team takes time to explain each step before treatment begins. Meet the team, or learn more about The Smile Spot ahead of your first visit.
