Elizabeth Bay To Marrickville Road

Ithaca Road and Roslyn Gardens get you to Roslyn Street and Bayswater Road. From there it’s Neild Avenue and New South Head Road to the Cross City Tunnel, which links to the Western Distributor. Exit at The Crescent, follow Johnston Street to Parramatta Road and Cannon Street, and you’re close. Count on 12.6 km and about 25 minutes outside peak.

Using the L1 is possible: the Capitol Square stop, about two kilometres from Elizabeth Bay, is on the line that runs to Dulwich Grove near the clinic. Reaching that stop is the hard part, so the car usually wins. Park on Marrickville Road or in MacArthur Parade beside us.

Check-Ups For Busy Elizabeth Bay Weeks

Evenings are often the only free time in a working week. The clinic is open until 8pm every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, so you can leave after the rush and still arrive in good time. Fridays and Saturdays offer daytime hours from 9am to 3pm.

Every check-up starts with an exam of your teeth and gums, and digital X-rays if they’re due. A professional scale and polish follows, clearing hard tartar. Dr Thanos will tell you what he sees and talk through anything that needs doing.

For Families

Elizabeth Bay Kids At The Dentist

Weekends might include a walk to Beare Park or Macleay Reserve nearby. Saturday mornings at the clinic suit families, letting children have their check-ups without taking time out of school.

First visits focus on helping children feel comfortable, followed by fluoride and fissure sealants as they grow. Have a look at our kids’ dental services. For contact sport, a fitted mouthguard made from an impression of their teeth helps protect them on the field.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the drive from Elizabeth Bay?

Around 25 minutes outside peak. The 12.6 km route uses the Cross City Tunnel and Western Distributor, then Johnston Street and Parramatta Road.

Is there light rail near Elizabeth Bay?

Capitol Square, roughly two kilometres away, is a stop on the L1 line, which continues out to Dulwich Grove close to the clinic. Most people find driving easier.

Where should I park?

On Marrickville Road or in MacArthur Parade, which runs beside the clinic. Several bays are timed, so check the signs.

Can Elizabeth Bay patients book late appointments?

Yes. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday run until 8pm, and Friday and Saturday are 9am to 3pm. Closed Wednesday and Sunday.

What should Elizabeth Bay residents do with a dental emergency?

Phone (02) 9569 0199 when we open and tell us it’s urgent. We’ll book you into the earliest available appointment.

Are new patients from Elizabeth Bay accepted?

Yes. Call the clinic or book online. Mention any anxiety or pain so the team can plan your first appointment around it.

Do you see Elizabeth Bay children?

We do. Young children start with an easy first visit, and as they grow we add fluoride, sealants and, for sporty kids, a fitted mouthguard.

Can I have dental implants placed here if I live in Elizabeth Bay?

Yes. Whether it’s one tooth or a full arch with All-on-4, Dr Thanos handles the planning and placement in Dulwich Hill and explains the costs first. Implant placement is surgery and carries risks such as pain, swelling and infection, and it is not suitable for everyone. Results vary from person to person. We talk you through the alternatives at your consultation, and you are welcome to get a second opinion.
