Easy ParkingStreet parking on Marrickville Rd
504 Marrickville RdTurn off Anzac Parade onto Gardeners Road and follow it west, then Kent Road, Ricketty Street and Canal Road carry you to the Princes Highway. From Railway Road and Gleeson Avenue, Railway Parade joins Marrickville Road, and MacArthur Parade runs right beside the clinic. Expect 9.5 km and around 20 minutes off-peak.
MacArthur Parade and Marrickville Road both have street parking, though some bays are timed. Public transport from Kingsford isn’t straightforward, with no bus or light rail line running directly to us, so plan on a change or simply drive.
Open until 8pmLike most cross-town roads, Gardeners Road is slower in peak hour, so a later booking can make the drive easier. Appointments run until 8pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and Saturday sessions start at 9am. The clinic is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
At a check-up the dentist looks at teeth, gums and existing work, with digital X-rays when they’re due, then a clean polishes away build-up. Find out more about an exam and check-up and hygiene and teeth cleaning.
Saturday family visitsSaturdays are often the only free window for families, so the clinic keeps them open from 9am to 3pm. Back home, nearby Kensington Park or Dacey Gardens make an easy spot to let the kids run off any leftover nerves.
Children’s visits cover first check-ups, fluoride, cleans and fissure sealants, explained in plain words for young patients. Read about kids’ dentistry. Playing rugby, hockey or netball? A custom-made mouthguard is moulded to your child’s own teeth.
Same-visit crownsA consultation is the starting point for any change to how your smile looks. You might consider whitening your teeth, tooth-coloured bonding or veneers in composite, E-max or Zirkonzahn, and the cost of each is explained once you’ve been examined.
Crowns are designed and made at the clinic, so a damaged tooth can often be covered in one appointment. Read about in-house dental crowns, and if a tooth is already gone, see dental implants near Kingsford, including All-on-4 for full arches.

Your care is led by Dr Dimitrios Thanos, who has practised for over 25 years and uses laser dentistry and digital X-rays where they suit. Say hello to the Smile Spot team or read about our clinic.

Yes. Single implants and All-on-4 are planned and placed by Dr Thanos in Dulwich Hill, after an exam that sets out costs and options. Implant placement is surgery and carries risks such as pain, swelling and infection, and it is not suitable for everyone. Results vary from person to person.
