Which Way Do Menai Drivers Come?

The usual route from Menai skips the Princes Highway entirely. From Menai Road you take Alfords Point Road north, then Davies Road and Fairford Road to the M5 Motorway. Leave the motorway at Wolli Avenue and work through Bray Avenue, Hartill-Law Avenue, Homer Street and Wardell Road, then on to Marrickville Road. It’s 22.5 km and roughly 36 minutes outside peak.

There’s no train station close to Menai and no bus that comes through to the clinic, so public transport needs a change and driving is the sensible choice. On arrival, look for street parking on Marrickville Road or in MacArthur Parade, which runs down beside us. A few bays are timed.

Check-Ups And Cleans For Menai Patients

A Saturday morning visit can be easier than battling weekday traffic out of the Shire. If evenings work better, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday appointments run until 8pm. Fridays close at 3pm, and the clinic is shut Wednesday and Sunday.

Dr Thanos checks your teeth, gums and any old fillings, with digital X-rays when needed. A clean at the same visit clears away tartar, so you only make the drive once. More on dental check-ups and hygiene appointments.

Looking After Menai Children’s Teeth

Between Parc Menai, the local reserves and a quick stop at Menai Marketplace, just 0.2 km from the suburb centre, Saturdays fill up. Booking the kids in back to back means one trip covers the whole family.

First visits are relaxed and short, so younger children can get comfortable. We use sealants and fluoride to help protect teeth, and make custom mouthguards for junior footy, netball or hockey. Read about kids’ dentistry and sports mouthguards.

Cosmetic And Restorative Options For Menai

Our crowns are made in-house, so a broken tooth can often be repaired with a crown in one visit. That means one drive from Menai instead of two, and no temporary to look after.

Want a lighter shade or a more even smile? Ask about teeth whitening, bonding and veneers in composite, E-max or Zirkonzahn. For missing teeth, dental implants near Menai and All-on-4 are planned and placed in our Dulwich Hill clinic. Costs are explained after an exam.
